Playtime is a Very Dangerous Time is the eighteenth episode of the rebooted new Teletubbies TV show. Po tries to indoctrinate the Tiddlytubbies through the use of regenerating bombs under the guise of toys.

Plot[]

One day, Po comes home from some sort of store and goes into the Tiddlytubbies' room carrying a big bag. She empties the bag in front of them and what comes out of the bag is a teddy bear, some blocks, some trucks, and a dolly. Pretty innocent, right? Umpie-Pumpie notices a button on the teddy bear and goes to push it, thinking maybe it'll sing a song or say something along the lines of, "I wuv you". Po stops Umpie-Pumpie, and then explains to the Tiddlytubbies that the toys are part of her plan to turn them evil - when the buttons are pushed, the toys blow up with an explosion powerful enough to annihilate 10 Teletubby Land Bunnies all at the same time, the bombs then reform like magic. She also tells them only to push the buttons when they're around someone they want to blow up.

To get them to learn, she shows them a poorly-drawn picture of Alt 2.0, and explains that she is an ally, not an adversary. Since the Tiddlytubbies don't know what, "ally" or "adversary" mean, they push the buttons on their toys and blow up the picture, making Po angry. She explains to them that they don't want to blow up their friends, like Alt 2.0. Then, she shows them pictures of Görcho, Noo-Noo, N. Trance, Purple Pi, Barack Obama, and Kaptain Skurvy, and praises them for only blowing up the last three. Po leaves the room and tells the Tiddlytubbies to have fun.

That's when Tinky Winky enters the room to play with the Tiddlytubbies. Because Po didn't tell him anything, he pushes the button on the dolly and blows himself up. As Tinky Winky is an ally, the Tiddlytubbies cry at this, but Tinky Winky respawns and says "Again, again!" So, they do it again-again. Unfortunately, every time the toys explode, the Home Dome falls apart more and more. Pretty soon, everyone explodes and the nursery is completely leveled. Po comes into the remaints of the room to check on the Tiddlytubbies, and the only ones in the room are the ones who just sleep all day. Po notices the toys are gone, too. She goes crazy because they disobeyed her and goes on a rampage. Pretty soon, almost all of Home Dome is destroyed. The only thing remaining is a single Voice Trumpet, who then yells "JOHN CENA!!!" and self-destructs.

Reception[]

Parents became extremely cautious of all their kids' toys after being forced to watch this episode with their kids. Many parents gave away anywhere from 88-99% of their children's toys, thinking that all toys are bombs after being brainwashed influenced by this episode.

Trivia[]

  • The title appears to be a reference to that thing Rocko Rama says in regards to certain days.
    • The BBC didn't even know they were making a Rocko's Modern Life reference when they titled this episode, because they're stupid.
  • MSNBC hated the scene that depicted the Tiddlytubbies blowing up Obama, so he was replaced with the Language Littles when this episode was shown on Nick Jr.
  • Everything in Home Dome is back to normal in the next episode.
  • plushies of The horrific thing, Horrortime tubby and Chuck E. Cheese are shown sitting in the corner, these plushies seem to be sentient as they are seen running off from the destroyed home dome.
